        1. Requirements

- one of Dr.Web (R) mail filters, version 4.32 or higher

        2. What is the agent

The agent drweb-agent is designed to collect statistics from Dr.Web (R)
mail filters and to periodically send it to our statistics server stat.drweb.com.
In our opinion, it is very useful both for Doctor Web, Ltd and for our users,
as we receive statistics that help us to analyze and better understand the viral
situation throughout the world and you have in your possession a tool for
collection, storage and display of world-wide virus statistics.

The agent collects the following information: a total quantity of the viruses
detected at your mails server by Dr.Web daemon and the list of pairs
(virus name - quantity) for all virus names, as well as the quantity of mail
messages checked by Dr.Web daemon (this parameter is not sent to
stat.drweb.com at present).

To use the agent you have to be either our registered user (in this case the
UUID for you will be md5 of the key file), or to obtain a personal UUID.
This UUID is written in the drweb_agent.conf configuration file.

        3. How to configure the agent

You can find the description of the agent's configuration file
drweb_agent.conf in conf_file.txt. Besides, you must add the [Agent]
section to the mail filter's configuration file (you can find the
description of parameters of this section in the file conf_file.txt which is
located the directory having the same name as your mail system.

To get the agent automatically started at the system startup, find the startup
scripts for the correspondent systems in the linux and bsd directories. In
addition, make sure to launch the agent before the mail filter's startup.
